I have the the above cylinder which was installed in approx 1994. I have noticed it has begun leaking and will have to get the cylinder replaced. I was quoted £600 for a replacement, which i presume is a tribune but obviously not that particular model.
i feel this is too expensive as i can get one online for about £400, in particular the potterton gold unvented direct d150. Will this be compatible with the tribune i will be taking out?
cheers

u can get it for 400 and what about your plumbers charge ....go ahead do it your self and dont get a plumber to do it as he will charge you 200 to change it ,and why pay 200 when you can come here and thing that we will tell you how is done give you free advise ......
people like you really get me ......

The prices of cylinders vary massively, I recently fitted a 150ltr Main cylinder, it was £400 ish, the equivalent size from a more establish manufacturer was £700.
Any new unvented cylinderof the eq size will fit, pipe work will need to be alterd though.

Had this argument last week with a customer.Broken room stat, told her I could get one and be back in 45mins.By the time I got back, she'd been on the net,and wanted to pay £65 +vat, which is what I paid for stat, because it only took 2 mins to do job,so why should I pay for an hour?
