What exactly is a Type AUK2 air gap ?? Can anyone explain this please!!

its where the end of the spout is for a tap or shower head and the distance of the spill over level of the wash basin/ bath/bidet.

if your wash basin is full of water the distance from it to the end of the spout or appliance head should be 25mm, this is what is known as a type auk2 air gap, this is in place to prevent back flow, and contamination. take a look at this itshould tell you everything you need to know.
