Unvented heating system

Hi I wonder if someone in the know could give me some advice, about six months ago i had my heating system changed to an unvented type, i decided to change as i wanted a dry loft to give me more space for a planned loft conversion this year.

the system i have had fitted is a Ultrasteel He it has given me a better water pressure throughout the house and freed up the loft space so thats great but on the down side i get real loud banging when i am filling up the bath, and also a squeaking that seems to come from the toilet cistern when running water off, not the end of the world but a little annoying, but now it has started to eject water from the discharge pipe it seems first thing in the morning before the central heating has fired up not every day but it seems to be getting more frequent, on examination of the tank today i noticed a sticker saying that if a fault devlopes such as water discharging the system should be turned off, so i am a little unsure what to do.
Any advice would be appreciated

Hi, Call the installer. They can check the system and identify the cause. Which could be one of many. Good Luck

Well your bath tap banging is probably a loose jumper or washer in the tap head,new tap head would solve that
The squeeking in the cistern will just require a new washer in ball valve,making sure it is a high presure,this should have been checked when changed over
However the leaking presure release valve on presurised cylinder needs urgent attantion as could be cylinder over heating,mains presure to high as only six months old still under cover,so get installers straight back,making sure qualified to work on presurised cylinders

Only suitably qualified Plumbers to work on unvented cylinders. If they go wrong my man! One gets a huge BANG! Don't you know old chap! 🙂

Being serious, they are extremely dangerous if anything serious goes wrong with them. However be assured that as far as I know not many have gone BANG! in the UK at least.
They have plenty of built in safety measures and if they are working properly it should be fine for years. Seems to me you have "Something a bit wrong!" probably minor providing its been installed properly.

As has been pointed out though, your still under guarantee and if it was say a radio you would take it right back. Well you can do the same with a Plumbing installation.
