emergencyman

I seem to be getting more and more calls for problems with unvented hot water cylinders, so look like its time to get qualified.

Can anyone recommend anywhere near Leeds please? Any info on time taken and cost? Anything else I should know?

Thanks

Find out who does the best training not just those that just give out a bit of paper !!

Tip - allow a few evenings reading the training manual to get the most out of the training given.

Yeh bpec ur supposed to read it and get 15hrs self study. Only time that occurred was with Baxi training!

That's OK for a man of your caliber Ermi but for us mere mortals we need a bit of time to get to grips with the stuff & the new changes, it gives the trainer half a chance to get to the bits they may not have fully understood rather than spending the whole day explaining how to calculate the D2!!

Not being funny but if anyone failed it they shouldn't even be plumbing.
my dad originally did it in 1991 and to was told forever, he only renewed it 3 years ago.

Did the 3 days with Baxi in December and they were doing the offers then, the man said December and January they do them cheaper as it's quiet due to being around Xmas, if you can wait that long mate.

Josh you are right to slag anyone who fails, but how do Baxi spread it out to 3 days? And how much does that cost? Initial is no more than 1.5 days and that's usually because we do the training on day one and even if finished early you don't start exam till next morning 2-3hrs max
If reassessment finished by 2.30-3.30 on day one

i didnt do my unvented with Baxi, did that at local college and was just over half a day, the 3 days I did with Baxi we're the how to use a multimeter, combi appreciation and boiler fault finding.
their unvented is only a day like every where else.

Do a course that you feel suits your needs and knowledge. 1/2 day maybe fine, if your the sort of person who prefers it explained by a tutor rather than reading a manual then look for one that incorporates a days training.
