Unvented Immersion Hot Water Tank

Hi,

I have a Thermtec Ltd. Unvented hot water tank, and the bottom of two elements has broken. The plumber took a look at it, but is having a job getting a replacement element and they've told me they may not be able to get one.

Is there anywhere that may still sell this? Failing being able to replace the element, what would the next step be?

Thermtec just make the immersion heaters and stats , you should be able to pick one up , dont put a cheapo £20 quid one in . If you cant get one direct from thermtec the cylinder manufacturers should be able to supply one .

What is the name on the cylinder itself?

Make sure the plumber you use has his Part G certificate (legal requirement to work on these systems)

Definitely do not install another brand. Must be same manuafacturer
