hi all, not been around for a while, been working away, anyway, i want to expand my knowledge a little and am interested in doing the unvented systems course run by olci, been with olci before and i know them well however, the site is telling me i need to be working toward nvq 3, well i cant do the level 3 because self employed and it is impossible to get a gas engineer to talk to you around here they are so frightened of loosing custom to someone else, can someone enlighten on working toward nvq 3

Are they telling you this just to take some more money off of you. Try somewhere else plenty of unvented courses about

i did mine 3 years ago no mention of nvq training required sounds like bull to me

hi adrianfs1 didnt think you needed nvq3 to do unvented ticket, just nvq2 as long as you have on site experiance of couple of years and can prove competant in plumbing, thats all my apprentice needed. that was a couple of years ago. check out some other test centres for advise if i was you.
 
I did mine in barnsley about a year ago in barnsley at panda plumbing training,cost me £175 and id strongly recomend them!!All that nvq talk is bull**** mate....😉
 
no, no gas certs at all mate, as i said, no one around here will entertain anyone looking to do gas, small area lots of gas installers, very competative and unwilling to pass on knowledge.
