I have a ferroli optimax he31c It's fitted in a small one bedroom flat

For about six months it has been flashing 62 code. I reset it and it goes away and comes back after a month or so and works absolutely fine

Recently it's totally stopped working it's flashing a different code A1

The reset trick is not working this time. Any ideas guys what should I look out for ? Trying to get a decent plumber to look at it but nobody wants to come out. I am based in Leicester.

I have old chap who is going to come round later he works on boilers could I give him any tips or ideas
His knowledge is not the best with these boilers

Thanks for the replies. But if anybody has any experience any tips I can give the plumber hes not familiar with these boilers. I don't really wanna be paying main dealer prices

honestly if its not just a simple fix i would really be looking at a new boiler there the low low end of the price scale they dont last more than 5 years tbh

I will give you a tip sir , the fact that you have been resetting this boiler for months surely must tell you something is wrong . If something trips / needs resetting its done it for a reason .

Manual on Ferrolli website gives possible causes for fault codes. At least 3 possibilities for this code. You should always expect to pay a'proper' call out charge for a proper GAS SAFE engineer.I hope your 'old chap who works on boilers ' is qualified for this job.Good luck.
