Got a problem!!!
My Worcester Bosch Greenstar 28i installed in 2005 has stopped giving hot water. The CH works fine but when hot water is demanded the boiler fires up and then the pressure guauge rises and cuts out. The filler look also seems to have a leak.
Just had SE around as I have insurance and they have said that the heat exchanger at the rear needs replacing? (its full of scale and sludge).
Not sure how he knows this as all he did was look at it from the front!
Anyway, he gave me a quote for SE to fix, £281 BUT said when he worked for himself there is another way to fix it but SE don't do it and he doesn't do private work!
He said someone can flush it out by connecting a pipe on something and running the hot water????
Anyway friends I am now desperate, got a wife and 9yo girl and no hot water!!!!
Anyone know a reliable person close to me?
