Whats your thoughts on this just been to price a boiler change, Was going to use a 637 system (LPG) only to be told by Vaillant that they now have to come out and do the conversion ! at a cost of £120.00,+vat, they cant give a date to do it as they do not have the kits, Told them in no short terms what to do with their boilers, its hard enough trying to keep costs down to get some jobs , but to be hit with almost another £150 on top is takeing the P

fit potterton or baxi, they come preconverted, just check data badge

i had one the other day, LPG boiler but on the data badge it said CAT 2H G20 20mbar

They used to just sell you a sticker and a set of instructions on the vaillants as a 'changeover kit' Maybe they were having problems with numpties not setting them up right so changed their stance on it? Could you not just use a combi leave the dhw or run 2 a single tap? plenty to choose from then.

Would have liked to have used a Vaillant but no matter whitch one you wanted thay do not have any coversion kits avail, and you have to let them do the change over, so question was how long would you be expected to wait for them to turn up ? meanwile you have a new boiler on the wall that cant be used, customer would love that.

I thought with the vaillants you just adjust the gas valve and put on new sticker.£120 for what?

Bit of a joke, they should let you set it up and then offer a service visit afterwards before honouring the warranty, if it's fine then no charge, if you've cocked it up then they charge you. That would have been a fairer way of doing it, we are not all numpties.

Seriously going off Vaillant

Well spoke to them this afternoon and that is how its going to be on the new Vaillants, I dont know why this cant be done in factory, just another way to cover there engineers wages, I think they will loose sales going down this route.

Getting the gas valves right and CO2 is the problem with the latest ones, they dont like Joe Public doing em period!! Bang a worcester 30 Cdi LPG System (31KW)

forget worcester complicated plastic crud, use an intergas , convert by adding a reducer washer on gas valve and set up with fga, manual even tells you how!

when i was at vailants they told us they had had a cou8ple of incidents with the conversions and they were doing this as a safety thing i didnt think they were charging but i suppose its only the same as having to buy a conversion kit

Thing is the kits not £150. they have none in the UK, and if they did how long would you have to waite for them to come and fit it ? all this time you have a new boiler on the wall that can-not be used, I cant see why they cant do this in house B4 they get sent out !! Just think its a bad show from Vaillant,

obviously this was a problem they didnt forsee once the problem reared its head they have to act to make the situation safe changing a multi million pound production line probably takes a while i
i see it as a plus that vailants have identified the problem and are dealing with it responsibly maybe youd rather they took the ideal isar/icos route and denied there was any problems with their boilers and let installers take the flak from disgruntled customers

intergas sadly is only 27 kw tho better than wb and vaillant

intergas dont do a 27kw boiler, they do a 30kw system and a 36/30 combi if you really need that much with the benefit of a constant flow of hw with no phex! and I think the combi is cheaper than the system due to sales nos

intergas 30 is 27kw

cheeky gits, 18 = 18.7 24 = 23.7 and 30 =26.6 at 85% and they all come set up at 70% which Idid know but hadnt noticed that cheeky 30/27 , still like a girlfriend once said, if you talk it up, no one normally notices:yesnod:
