I'm looking to install a vertical column radiator, with valves mounted at the top entry points as I'm running the pipes down from a loft conversion above and this would look neater. The rad is 1800mm tall. is there any problem with doing this, ie will it affect the flow. Its a combi boiler system.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

It won't work very well, I get that it would look better but for the radiator to heat up properly you need at least one connection at the bottom.

Ok thanks for that, as the rad stands away from the wall by about 30mm my other option is to run the pipes down the wall behind it so I'll probably go for that instead

Thanks, you've just reminded me of that from the last one I put in, if I remember right it's because of the position of the internal baffles?
