How you doing gentlemen ? Haven't posted for ages been working on a site haven't really needed any help! Lol been toying with the idea of getting a newvan but have decided to stick with my little beauty til she dies. Only thing I hate about it is it's got no racking/shelving at all so hard to keep it organised and I despise having a messy can it really annoys me.
I want some wood shelving done to certain dimensions but don't want to get my pants pulled down. What have you all got In yours? I reckon I could build it myself pretty easily my only worry is how do I fix it to outer walls of the van? Don't want to have screws sticking out my van? Lol cheers as always

Is the van ply lined already? mines screwed into that and slightly longer self tappers into the more ridgid pillars, made mine myself cost around 80 quid in ply and been in 2 vans now

I bought some racking online. I put it in the van and screwed some wood to the floor of the van then screwed through the wood straight into the racking. It would be sturdy enough with just this but I out some flue banding on the top part and screwed it into to van and then onto the racking.

On the other side of the van I've got metal wire type racks that I keep paperwork and odd and sods in.

I got the racking off an online shop, it wasn't exactly cheap at 160 quid but it came with all the plastic bins. It's great now it's in. I can't believe I had this van for two years wi no racking in the back.

you dont realy need ply lining to fit stuff in, just screrw battens to the ribs i use a bit of pu glue to be sure , then fix to them most ply lining is only 3.5mm ply not realy strong enough to hold any weight youd be amazed how much weight you can wind up with in a rack

shelves dont work in a van you have to have some front uprights to hold them up take a look at my thread "van pics not" a bit further down this list

what are those black and white boxes on the left photo they look handy

Each black box has four pull out boxes, which is the white bit. Each pull out box had a lid and 10 small compartments in each one. I use them to keep unusual fittings and fixings in and radiator bleed valves etc.
there one of my best things I've ever bought. I found them in the bargain section at B&Q for a fiver a piece. I've never seem them since and wish I'd bought more.
You just need some small bungee cords accross the front to stop the draws flying out when you go round corners.

I've made my own from MDF, 4x2 and batten. Made the middle section to the right size to contain my power tools and organisers, made three sections at the top to separate different items, then made a few boxes to keep waste fittings and a selection of odd pipe fittings.

Ignore the mess in the van, I was stilling sorting it when I took this picture and ignore the state of the box on the bottom! I ain't no chippy!

Pretty much exactly what I want mate. Got a quote from a bloke today who done my Mates relay, £100 supply and fit, took him 10 mins to do a template he's visiting me at work Wednesday to install it! Chuffed to bits!

Seems a reasonable price! I paid £40-odd for the MDF and I already had the timber lying about! Need to get a bulkhead though, I've been smacked in the back of the head by the 1200 level a few times when braking sharply!!

Quite enjoyed building it actually! Had my little helper with me....
