Hello guys,

I had a job today in an office where a lever tap would not shut off the hot supply, even when fully shut off, the water would still keep shooting through the tap.

Now what confuses me is this tap has two hot and cold flex hoses coming in to feed it from a 15mm cold feed, and then a third flex connection which is also tee'd off the cold feed supply.

Has anyone ever encountered a tap with three 8mm water feeds connected to it?

Forgive my ignorance, but I have only ever worked on taps with just a hot and cold supply.

Heatrae Sadia used to supply a similar tap to be used with some of their under sink hot water units and they were a vented tap even some of the over sink units had vented spouts The amount of taps I have seen broken because no one explained why they often dripped [venting] and the people strangled the tap until it broke🙂.regards turnpin

Provided it is compatible, take it off and fit a standard tap with a check valve, pressure relief valve, PRV and expansion vessel in the line.
