Just after some advice before i phone a gas engineer for a visit...
The red light on my boiler keeps coming on, usually a press of it switches it back off and the boiler lights up again.
The pressure is fine, the expansion tank was leaking so I've fitted an external one and now the pressure is constant so i can rule that out? (I had the issue before i did this btw)
The light tends to come on around 10-20 mins after the boiler has fired up , although this is a bit of a guesstimate as a lot of the time i'm either out or in bed.
Once the boiler has got going it seems fine, it's been on for for the last 5 hours without any issues.
Very occasionally pressing the button wont put the red light out, i have to switch the boiler off at the mains.
No issues with radiators, hot water etc. No leaks from the boiler.
I'm just trying to get the boiler through to the summer months then i'll probably look at getting it replaced so any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Chris
