😕Hi all
I'm just enquiring about the cost to dump in your local tip with a van,if its done on weight or just fixed cost.I normally take the car, but the Mrs ain't happy anymore with that arrangement. There is absolutely no van allowed to tip at the dump like a car(without incurring a charge)
Cheers

She wouldn't have me attaching a towbar and dragging a trailer around.
She'd be nagging on about wearing her car out, even though she slips the clutch for 10 seconds after a gear change.
Cracks me up,she got a puncture last week and carried on driving and shredded the tyre(only £150 michelin 2 weeks old).
I get the pleasure of paying for a new one!!!!

Dont forget you need a Waste Licence (even to carry a bit of scrap copper in your van)
which you have to show to the weighbridge opperator,

Also HiVis jacket Safety Boots and a Hard Hat.

The Licence only costs £50.00

Apparently the licence is to stop Do-as-you-Likeies fly tipping, needless to say it
has not worked,

Same as taking away legally held guns has not reduced illegally held guns (in fact it has increased them)

As Bob says you should have a licence

If you are talking about the occasional load of rubbish you can ring up the council and if you can prove you live in the area and the rubbish is from your house, they will issue you a letter to allow a van to enter the domestic side of the dump

free where I live providing you can get your van under the barrier

I don't have a licence as when I enquired after being sent info on how they would fine me for having waste on the van, I was told I could not dump it at the local tip I would have to take waste to a commercial tip at Huyton Liverpool, what a farce, thats no use to me, I use skips on bathroom refits, and if any small jobs I tell the customer they can either get rid of it or I charge to have it removed. This country has totally lost the plot, no wonder there is so much fly tipping.
