Hello, I have a problem with my bath and shower water pipes. When the bath is emptied the water comes back up into the shower tray! Which is the best kind of non return valve to use? a McAlpine no return valve or a Hepvo or any others? Would fitting one of these non return valves even work? Thanks for any information.

I thought it might need a NRV as the shower and bath are connected to the same outlet waste pipe.
I did clear a load of hair out of the pipe, it must be still blocked somewhere else, maybe outside pipe? What's the correct angle for water to flow properly?

about an inch per m you can go less but i think regs are about 18-20mm per m, but the more fall the better (without going stupid)

Sometimes if the waste pipe isn't clipped sufficiently over time the hot water can make the waste pipe bow and sediment can cause a blockage, have you tried using a plunger?

Don't go like a man possessed with it but giv that a go.
