Hi all,
I've got a question on behalf of a friend:
Can you connect the F&R together on a combi boiler and use it just as a water heater?
Thanks all,
Jennie

Usually a combi can be used as a water heating appliance only provided the ch pipework has a minimum 1m loop and usually they have an internal bypass. as said its not ideal but yes it can be done...

Back when I were a lad (1980s), it was common to replace a Britony water heater with a Chaff Celtic 220 RS combi on summer setting doing just hot water, on the understanding that when the householder had the money, they would add radiators.

Are you sure it wasn't a few years earlier with a back circulator! ha
