Getting confused about calculating water pressure.

A new tap (the wife wants) needs 0.5 bar pressure minimum.

The cold tap is mains fed. Thames Water. Presume it's fine.
The hot is gravity fed. Do I measure height from tap to bottom of the hot water tank? Or to the cold tank in the loft (as the guidance I have read elsewhere).

If the former it is unlikely be more than 0.2 bar (standard 1930s house with hot water tank on first floor, and kitchen on ground floor).

is fitting a pump on the hot water alone what is needed. Or is it more complicated?

any guidance gratefully accepted 🙂

The calculation is a little more that just the length of the pipe You also need to factor in the volume and area it is acting upon at the base etc..etc

Much easier to google the equation...

Or nip to machine mart and for a tenner buy a water pressure gauge.
