I have a customer who would like a water softener installed in his house, it is a very hard water area. I have never had to install one before. Am i right in saying the kitchen tap has to come off the mains, while all other water goes through the softener? Are there any other bits of advice when it comes to installing one. I have had a brief look, and there is one in screwfix which is fullt automated, although im sure i could find it cheaper elasewhere, please any help or reccomendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Non return valves to be fitted and a bypass and valves to be fitted if I remember from my training-check manufacturers installation instructions.
