Water Softner issue.

Hi All. I hope i am in the right place, as its been quite a while since i have visited.

I have a WATERSIDE ultra model MC450S. Its been working quite well, but for a time the over flow pipe outside is constainly running/dripping. Can anyone tell me how i can approach this and if there is a service manual any where.

Hi i believe there is nothing to worrie about the overflow is running due to the water softner cleaning its self

Note the times it happens, how long for and how often.

You could try and completely empty the salt and water out of the storage tank. Then refill with fresh water about 4 inches high. Then reuse the salt that you removed.
if it then after a week or so it still overflows, ( this is the pipe that will just stick through the wall) you will need it servicing.

ring manufacturer for local engineer.

Many thanks for the replies.

The outside overflow pipe is dripping continues, it never stops. I have cleaned the unit out completely, resetting etc, but it’s just the same. I was hoping to attack it myself as engineer call out is quite expensive.

It could be more than a service. Motor? Optical pick up dirty? One of the many valves not sealing? Etc.

Sounds like the transfer valve not seating properly after a regeneration. Probably needs a repair kit. Call the engineer!
