every time I turn on a tap anywhere in the house it makes a loud squeek,
even does it when washing machine is switched on. We are on a meter and when you turn on the outside tap which is closest to th meter you can here the
squeek indoors. The sound is loudest in the utility room at the back of the house, furthest from the supply coming into the house. any idears as to the problem.

Any appliance i.e toilet, washing machine or taps connected to the mains supply could be the problem even if the noise comes from upstairs when you turn the tap on downstairs i would check all ballcocks in toilets and make sure you dont have any dripping taps that could be a deffective washer.🙂

I have turned off the water supply to the two toilets, have no other
stopcocks, noise still exists.😡

I have found two other stopcocks one either side of the water meter.
One is my side and the other one is the water company side, which could
be a problem.
