What course to take????

Hi All,

Wanting some advice. I am currentley looking into doing a plumbing course at a training centre, as i feel this is the best option for me with work etc. The course I am looking at starting is the new one 6189 plumbing and heating. Will this be the best course to do if wanting to start up on my own afterwards?????

I really don't see how people could set up by themselves after doing just a basic course I can not imagine leaning enough to be a self employed plumber after one of these courses maybe it's just me??

No I have not done one yet!!!!!! But I am thinking about the 6189 qualification which is the new one. Have you done one, if so would you advise it???

I forgot to mention the course is with ppl at York, anyone had any experience with this company in the past?

and how do you gt a 6189 without employment?

Hi Fuzzy,

The centre offers you a work placement once completed the course, and I also have a local plumber lined up who is willing to let me work alongside him a couple of days a week going forward to gain experience, so I assume this will be enough to get the onsite assesments signed off.
