i went to a school, complaining of a sauna in the boiler room - tprv had tripped on one of the calorifiers. isolated ordered new part and will go back tommorow
then showed one of the engineers how to convert an open vented system to sealed, and install an electronic filling device - left him to it.
then spent some time in an nhs building, i was given a fault report from the computer controller that the dhws was returning a temperature of 20 degrees. spent 2 hours scouring the building checking mixers and blenders for feedback to no avail - end result last of all checked the position of the sensors, to discover they are new and had been placed on the calorifier fill and vent - as opposed to flow and return !
next one - woman in office complaining the trv on her rad wasnt working ( 3 floors, she on top floor - lift broken ), discovered her heating zone was nearly always off because zone sensor situated basking in sunlight. raised the required temperature on that zone a lot, and asked anybody that got hot to turn down the trv. one lady in cold office happy, another ten sweaty hot women.
checked on my mate with his electronic filling device. (chris is a top man - could do with just chilling a little tho, and going with the flow !)
went to another school, leak from boxing in. opened boxing - waste pipe t, with an open branch end. (been like that for years) cleaned and filled with ct1 as i didnt have a correct size cap.
came home - passed my boss on the sea front - such a nice day neither of us could resist going home the pretty way.
walked through home door. attacked by my own dogs. into garden, lit fire in chimnea, wifesy bought out a bottle of rose - sat and chatted for an hour. got cold. came in. she started with dinner, i sat at pc for 1/2 hour writing reports and sending pics.
good day, no return jobs for a change
