What kind of a messed up country is this we live in?

JUst read the paper today made my blood boil - Abu Qatada, Al Quaeda's right hand man in Europe looks like he is about to be released on the streets. He has cost the taxpayer £500,000 in benefits and is classed as a serious threat to national security. The courts have ruled that if he can't be deported he must be released to continue preaching hate and encouraging murder of Christians, Jews, gays and anyone who doesn't agree with him. Potentially also due to be released is Abu Hamza.

I also read in the same paper about a proloned court case where a council have been taken to court for holding brief prayers before a coucil meeting.

Is it just me or is something seriously messed up here?

Why can't they just do as the Italians do - deprt the offenders and tell Strasbourg where to get off (or even better send Abu Qatada to Strasbourg -he's your problem now), even pay the fine if need be to shut them up. Surely the rights of the people in the UK to live in safety are important? Shame on the councillor who started the court case about the prayers - he didn't have to take part. If he't put the same time and effort towards getting homeless people off the streets in his town wouldn't his time be better used? perhaps he should be made to have Abu Hamza as a lodger when he gets out?

Anyway enough of a rant for today!

I was listening to radio old guy (4) last night and on the news quiz they were commenting about how Abu Qatada had never actually broken any English laws. Sandi Toksvig came back with "well, one of the first laws of English is you need a U after a Q"
so obviously he is guilty and should be given a five bob bullet :rifle: which is more than he would get in his homeland (if he still had one).

Your right,

I think that one of the things that makes Britain great is that we are a multicultural society, we've allowed the jocks, taffs and the paddies in and they've all accepted the way that we live.

I've got quite a few friends (yes, surprisingly) that are of different cultural backgrounds and we all have our own views and opinions. This is what makes going down the pub interesting and makes for some lively discussions.

However, I draw the line when there is a clear threat to this country and British judges agree with this but we're told to release these nutters. What makes matters worse is that we're paying for the privaledge.

These people shouldn't be given the humane bullet in the side of the head, they should be nailed to a wooden chair and allowed to bleed slowly to death. Extreme, well I don't think so. Its the same nutters who will quite happily hack the head off of an aid worker! blow up women and children on a bus going to work etc. Same people who kidnap western workers put them in an orange suit parade them around before killing them in front of a camera and putting it on the internet.

Don't be under the illusion that this is about race or religion it isn't, this is about extremists who preach hate and would kill you for not agreeing with them. I would not move to another country steal money from them and then tell everyone in that country that I hate them, whilst having my hand in there back pocket.

Oh, if you think nailing someone to a chair is extreme, I'd televise it at the same time as big brother 20 or whatever its on now, bet I'd get more views.
