what pipe to use

Hi im fitting a garden tap outside, i have to bring the pipe from the roof down, i've used hep pipe before and think its good quality, recently i've started buying some materials from screw fix and they do either floplast or jg speedfit, just wondering if there any good, i've used jg speedfit before and didnt like it. Anybody used any of these pipes before?

Why from the roof down? Garden taps should be from the main with iso and 2check valve.

cant use copper, very awkward job, kitchen is at the front of the house and cannot run pipes from ther as client does not want his wooden flooring taken up and does not want to see the pipe running through his house so only other option is (as next door have done) come from just under the roof, there is a vent box, cant do it in copper because you cant get to the inside of this vent box but will be able to push plastic throught to where i can get to.

Is there not a downstairs toilet you can tee off from. Its just even though being fed from tank in the roof the pressure will be poor.

there is but not at the back (same situation with the kitchen), im gonna come off the main going into the tank.

What about just having a large rain water butt and a tap coming from that? No piping no ripping up the house to fit pipes. And not a eyesore. Although if he's using a pressure water it won't be suitable.

Went to a job to replace a copper run outside tap with plastic, the copper pipe had burst in the depths of last winter. Although insulated , previous plumber had used compression fittings which all blew from the cold. Amazing seeing the way the ice had pulled the olives almost off the pipes!

We ran plastic and reduced the amount of joints , neater and hopefully more durable for the customer.

the tap should have a isolation valve for this reason,so you dont have to shut off mains water to the rest of the house,and so you can empty the pipe of water in winter to prevent the pipe freazing/bursting.

Didnt realise the question was aimed at me. supply came from utility room and had a ballofix valve to isolate.
There was fridge in front of this so customer wasnt aware of it.
