As above - customer wants some rads changing currently with these valves. To save extending the pipes thought might do a like for like swop, but struggling to find who still sells these. If still available do they do trv versions?

Thanks in advance

Didn't they go out of fashon a long time back? Have you tried ebay? Just a thought! 🙂

Just googled and got a Plumb Center code of 890200 or 890201 from a DIY forum. Post is dated 2005 however and the part isn't listed on PC website... You could try giving them a call?

Yes - tried same but the trail went cold after about 2005!

I've seen dusty ones on the back of a Plumb Center, they definitely do them.

Cheers EPH - will look into. Don't normally use them as I think they are expensive, but as these appear to be a collectors item, worth looking into. At least can give the customer the choise then.

They (yorkshire) stopped making them a few years back. If you can't be bothered to alter the pipes, use the existing valves. Depending on the make of rads you buy, you may struggle to get the insert in.
Danfoss used to make a trv version 20 year ago. Don't know if they still do.

And the return pipe fixed to the valve is only about 300mm long so it's pretty useless, why can't you change them?

I don't think that he can't change them, I think he's just trying to make life easier for himself. Because he said:-

C'mon no-one fits them even BG run the return up behind the radiator.

If i were you, i would do as Tackleburger said and run the pipe. As long as you charge appropriately for your time you should be fine.

There are some up for sale made by Yorkshire on eBay. Here is the item number. Hope it helps.

Not sure Ian, I'm of the belief that it's salesmen or trolls looking for keywords.

And the most annoying thing is they won't register.
