I need to replace and relocate a copper hot water cylinder into the loft space, and also replace the old galvanised cold water tank. The cold water tank needs to be situated above the copper cylinder to improve gravity pressure.

Are there any companies that supply a combined copper cylinder, frame and cold water storage so that the cold water tank sits above the hot water cylinder? Or, does a frame have to be built?

Cheers

there are several makes arcopac being the most common but you will have trouble getting it through most loft hatches usually we build a frame from 3x2 timber to mount the tank easiest place to do this is against a wall if you have one remember to spread the wieght onto walls this is also relevent if you get a steel framed one

just make sure your roof joists can take the weight, buildings cotrol are good at offering advice on this sort of thing if you ask nicely, then youve covered your bum
