Could anyone please give me some much needed advice. I own a top floor, small, 1 bed tenement in glasgow. It needs a new boiler, all I will really need it for is hot water for washing dishes and the very occasional bath as the shower uses something else. I will not have gas central heating as the flat is warm enough without it.
Is there a particular boiler/immersion heater that is suited for this kind of use? Is gas/electric better/cheaper? How much should I expect to pay for it and fitting? Any advice would be much appreciated.

just for hot water then.
gas water heater would be cheapest to install and run, tho it would take longer to fill your bath,
if your not worried about pressure and have the space for a cwsc then a vented immersion cylinder, would be the next step up the ladder price wise, storing your hot water. you will never get a decent shower tho in your circumstance.
if your feeling flush, unvented electric cylinder. will give you good flow, and pressure but cost most.

recommend the gas water heater in your circumstance.
