Hi All,
Would like to pick anybodies brains on behalf of a customer please.
I've been out tonight to look at the job with a view to changing a rad and some valves but customer also asked about a whining noise that the boiler makes when it kicks in - a whining sound that varies, possibly a little like the noises cold water pipes make when mains pressure is low.
The boiler is a Glow Worm Fuelsaver 65F, on an open vented system. It's definately not the pump, though the noise does get worse at lower pump speeds.
The boiler has recently had a new fan and pcb, I'd just like to add that I'm not Gas Safe and have no intention of attempting to fix, I'd just like to give him a suggestion if there are any obvious reasons for this.
Thanks
Paul
