Hi
Have a wirquin jollyfill cistern which when I do a full flush (button 1) it wont
come back on its own- only way is to press it again and then it comes back up.
If you dont do this it constantly fills into the pan and never fills up cistern.

With short flush (button 2) it comes back up on it own all ok.

Does anyone know if there is a quick fix for this.
I have tried replacing the entire button mechanism but it made no difference.

Thanks for any help on this !
Phil.

I had this with a jollyfill a good few weeks ago, on a 1 piece loo. Yes 1 piece... Not CC, the pan and cistern were cast as one, stupid thing it was too.
Anyway, the problem was that the original installer had siliconed the bottom of the flush mechanism to the bottom of the cistern and the excess silicone had come away and lodged itself under the sealing part at the bottom of the mechanism, it meant that a good jiggle of the button was needed for the valve to close properly at the bottom. I actually felt bad charging the customer once I'd discovered the problem, but I had been to a few merchants to try and find a replacement flush for a 1 piece loo and pretty much all of them laughed at me because '1 piece loos don't exist' apparantly...
So, maybe check the bottom of the mechanism for something obstructing the big rubber washer type thing that opens and closes to allow the flush.

Oh and during this job I discovered that a standard fluidmaster fits into the wirquin cage that is left attached to the cistern when you take out the gubbins - handy hint there for someone who doesn't keep wirquin stuff on the van 😉
