I have just had a customer phone me, telling me when they use the hot water the rads get hot and the pressure on the heating circuit increases. Am i right in saying the divertor valve has gone,
but can anything else cause this?

Id investigate further before assuming.

Do they get any hot water at all? Is it only luke warm or are they noticing the closest rads get warm once the d.h.w is stopped being called for?

I would go with the divertor valve 🙂
+1, take the case off, look in the bottom right hand corner of the boiler, there is a solenoid which pushes a lever up and down to control the diverter valve, take off the plastic shroud, withdraw the solenoid turn on the hot water the pin on the solenoid should move up and down freely, also try manualy moving the lever that the solenoid controls, push it up with the hot tap running and the water should get hot.
£42 for a new solenoid which looks slightly different from the one your replacing old one is made by grundfos, new one by somone else.
