Only had this property for a year and the above boiler was working ok, however about 2 months ago I noticed that the pressure was creeping up when system was idle, I would set at 1.2bar and over a day it would climb to 2bar,
When running obviously it would rise to appx 1.8 - 2.8 respectivly.
I changed a rad out a week ago and a few days later noticed the pressure dropping from say 1.5 to .75 over the day, now it drops to .25-.5 over a 6-8hr period.
Most pipework is exposed and no leaks from the rad changed out and dhw and ch working really well, no obvious sign of water from prv discharge pipe but as this is on eves almost. will have to temp extend outlet to confirm.
I would summarise by suspecting the v/v on the filling loop may have been passing water to cause the increase and with fitting a new rad and hence operating the v/v it is now seated therefore the loss of pressure might have been present all along but disguised by this.
