Looking for some help with a reoccurring problem with my 'pain in the a$$' boiler.
Fan seized a few months back - replaced fan......
About 2 months later the boiler locked out again - replaced APS...again boiler was fine for a few months until it locked out again. I am able to fire up boiler by removing combustion cover and sucking +ive tube before replacing tube onto fan venturi and quickly replacing combustion cover. (boiler won't spark with combustion cover off)......or I can activate APS from above boiler without taking combustion cover off.
When fired back up the boiler will only run until it reaches temp then when it tries to go through the ignition sequence again, it locks out.

THE FAN IS CONSTANTLY RUNNING - EVEN AFTER THE POWER IS CUT THEN TURNED BACK ON.

Pcb changed just a couple of years ago also!!!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

sounds like the fan they are two speed make sure when you first turn it on it should go fast then slow down usually they go stiff and wont turn on slow speed the other thing to try is the water pressure switch that sympton is the fan runs boiler tries to ignite for 2 or 3 seconds then locks out with flashing light you can bridge the heating pressure switch to try it it is inside the combustion chamber on the right hope this helps

Hi there
Have you cleaned the venture on the fan?
Also check the silicone tubes for any holes.

Was the Pcb lads. Changed board yesterday and working fine....for now.

Thanks for advice anyway.
