worcester flues

Hi,
My Worcester 350 combi boiler has recently packed in. I was going to replace it with a worcester 30 cdi condensing combi boiler.
Will this be a straight swap? Is the pipework layout the same?

Also the existing boiler is flued out to next doors. Can I replace the flue without going in to next doors garden as we dont get on. Or will the existing flue be compatible with the new boiler?

Straight swap? Nearly.
Pipework same? Nearly but I'd expect nothing major as long as existing pipework is suitable.

Flue - it's a little dangerous for anyone here to say anything with certainty as the termination of the flue (the last bit before the fresh air) is sometimes quite critical. Best to ask the installer (having found a suitably qualified one first). If he looks for/asks about the ventilation and all sorts of other questions it's in your interests. And he's only doing his job properly.

More positively, moving the flue shouldn't be too much of a problem - there are various possibilities.

im sure ive read, that your flue termination has to be within your property. though i cant find the rule number. still looking.
i do remember that your flue is not allowed to annoy your neighbour, and with a new condensing boiler your flue gases will be a lot more visible.
if you dont get on with your neighbour now, if he wants to create a fuss, he could cause you a bigger problem.
i will troll thru the books again, if nobody else can be more precise.

dont get the new boiler installed, until you have a clear answer.
i'd hope your g.r.i. would know this!

At the moment it flues back outlet from our garage into his front garden. His house is about 2.5 mtres away from the outlet.
Its a typical semi detached with adjoining garage.
Only other possibility eould be to flue out to the front of the garage which i dont really want

You can't discharge a flue onto some one else's property. It must be a minimum of 600mm from the boundary. The flue is at the top from the new boiler so it's higher. Also don't forget hot water performance from a 30Cdi will be not as good as that from the 350. For the same performance you need to be looking at a 35Cdi.

can you go vertcal thru garage roof? remember your going to have a condensate pipe extra and need somewhere to run it to drain

found it. 6th edition pg 53 8.5
flues discharging over boundaries .... blah blah. ncs
you are not allowed to complete an new installation that is n.c.s. therfore flue has to be moved, to a position that will not cause a nuisance.

viperbook E-54 just states to check out building regs part J
