Worcester green star he30

Hi all

Customer just called with a c1 fault on a Worcester greenstar he30
I'm not familiar with the boiler so google docs c1 fault appears to be low fan speed.
Fixes seem to be split between new pcb or fan. I've not been to see the boiler yet but any info would be greatly received.

worcesters are known to have chocolate fans also for frying boards when they fail

Ive found the Worcester technical to be decent when Ive had to call, so if your going tomorrow, give them a try, might be able to narrow it down with voltage/resistance readings from them.

yeah ive had one of these....your looking at voltages on the fan harness...if the voltages are ok then it'll be the fan.....but as said above Worcester tech will help ya, I cant remember the colour wires you have to test against.

Replaced a few fans on these old HE's in last few months. C1 usually points towards fan.
IIRC 240v between purple & brown at fan and no operation confirms fan is junk.

I think purple/brown is the newer greenstars, the older greenstar he boilers, were white and blue if I remember correctly. Fans are common though.
