Morning all

had a call-out yesterday to the above, hot water working fine but no heating.
removed the room stat, installed a link but still nothing.

remove the rubber green cap over the D/V that was moving up when hot water called for, then stopped moving for no reason but hot water still working.

boiler dose not show any thing when heating called for, just sits idle, no flashing lights nothing

am I right in thinking possible D/V????

thanks lads

Try putting the boiler into max service mode and see if heating runs whilst watching DV motor. It should go to mid position if I remember rightly.
Have you put a link in the boiler or RS as thetr may be a broken wire from stat to boiler. Unlikely though.

Remove the diverter motor and give the diverter arm a wiggle. Then try heating with the diverter motor off as this might prove if it's the motor or the valve itself.

Would it not still fire up if the d/v hasn't moved though?
Have you checked the room stat/programmer?
If it had the MT10 timer, they are pretty rubbish and tend to break.

Took the D/V motor off, left the link for the room stat in & the heating came on, but no hot water. Replaced the D/V motor, hot water fine but no heating.

So I'm thinking D/V motor

But when I removed link for room stat, rewired room stat & removed the D/V motor the heating didn't come on, so I'm also thinking room stat might be faulty????

jtsplumbing, any ideas on price of the motor mate????

Thanks lads

price from Plumbase £82.39 inc vat Part No SO14975 / Worc Part No 87161068450 comes with a few other small bits, Look on PB web site, think that is retail price

If you take the motor off, it goes to mid position so you will have heating but hot water won't be very good as the energy is going down the heating pipe
