Have a customer who's been having issues with the boiler going to A1 lockout, usually noticing the problem when using HW, mainly in the shower, running hot and cold. They've had WB out who have changed the gas valve and the plate HEX, also 2 thermistors. However, the major problem seems to be the gas pipe is ran for about 15m in 15mm. Inlet pressure at the boiler is 3.5mbar, WB engineer has said he has done all he can to fix any issues with the boiler. We are going in next week to upgrade the gas pipe. But A1 fault code in the MI's is that the pump has ran dry..... So i'm thinking although fixing the gas pressure issue needs done, it won't solve the fault. 14 year old boiler, only been doing this for the last year? Is there a pressure switch that triggers the A1 fault?

I don't think many Worcesters have a pressure switch...

A1 I'd check pressure, release any air & check pump, blockages maybe or sludge as the boilers getting on...
