Hi there,

I have just bought a new house and have a problem with my boiler and thought I may be able to get some advice on here rather than calling someone out if the problem is simple. I apologise in advance if I sound clueless...I am!!

It's a Worcester Greenstar R25 HE Combi. The hot water runs fine but when we put the heating on, the burner light doesn't stay on and the heating just clicks on and off so the house never seems to get warm.

Can anyone help me with what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance,

Jennie

hi it could be a few things thats causing the problem, and best you get a gsr engineer to take a look at it for you,

Hi Jennie,

First of all you need to ensure that if there is a room thermostat that it is turned up high enough. Also check that there is enough pressure in the boiler, it should read 1bar ish.

If these are all ok, then you will need to call out a Gas Safe engineer to look at it for you.

Hi there,

Yep checked the pressure and thermostat and both OK. Just thought it might be something simple but I will call a Gas Engineer!

Thanks for the replies!
