hi guys , i will be fitting a worcs 15 RI tomorrow and could have a problem running a cable to the pump

direct from boiler. worcester say that if its not done this way it would invalidate the guarantee. although

their technical guy did mention a company that do a rf link that connects to a transmitter next to the boiler

with a receiver wired direct to the pump which worcester bosch endorse. has anyone used these and if

so any info would be helpful. thanks

Can the pump be moved nearer boiler?

No way of pulling in a 5 core using the old cable as the fish wire, ive done it a couple of times, wont always work.

If the fused spur and programmer are next to the boiler, there might be a spare wire to pinch

Don't mean to teach you to suck eggs :smiley2:

Sorry

try and hard wire it, think of the poor sod who turns up to sort it out in 5 years time 🙂

Rf room stat and put clock by boiler if you can and use the 3 core for pump

does the worcester center not work for the ri? i always thought that was what it was designed for? I just fit a baxi solo when it only has 3 wires saves the hassle

thanks for the help guys, i couldnt move the pump nearer and the existing cable was plastered in the wall with just enough to give me live ,switched live neutral and earth so in the end i had to work my nuts off and found a way to get a new cable down for the pump supply in the a/c. just wondered if any one had used the rf link
