Hi All,

I am hoping someone can help me with a small issue.

We have decided that our 2 toilets have reached the end of their lifetime and are going to be replaced.

After visiting the local DIY shops we have discovered that our toilets which have separate cistern and pans can only be replaced by close coupled units. Ok i thought until i measured up and found that our pans are far further away from the wall than the newer coupled units allow.

Our waste stack is internal of our house (single stack) and the waste pipe comes out of the side wall and turns 90 degrees into a P shape trap, this doesnt seem to allow much "give" in the distance and if i install a close coupled toilet i would have a gap at the back of the toilet and wall.

Yes i spose i could add a false wall type thing, but i would prefer to see what the professionals do to get round this issue.

Thanks in advance for any replies...

you dont have to have close coupled you can have what youve got low level ,go to city plumbing or plumbase

Yeah as above, plumbing outlets will be able to supply low level toilets no problem. Or box and tile behind which can look ok as long as the gap is not to big.

thx guys i will look into the swan neck thingy and its nice to see separates are still sold, thx.
