Advice, I'm wondering about the glow worm combi that has the mechanical time clock displayed on the front panel, can this be disconnected? As I'll be installing it in the loft and using the exciting room stat/ programmer.

Not much experience in glow worms and I don't do electrics.

Yes, you set the built in clock to always on and connect any external control via the thermostat connections.

Boiler in a loft my pet hate ! and a cheap one at that not a wise move bud you will lose so much heat through the casing and be heating a uninhabited space factor in wind chill freezing temperatures problems with condense I would not put it there. You can just leave mechanical timer on constant and use a rf programmable thermostat but as I said try a find a different location if possible. Kop

It's the only place that's suitable one bedroom bungalow so tight for same plus it needs to be finished in a day. I'll insulated th pipework to death. Thanks for your advice and tips!

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hello all, I'm would like to extend an existing outside tap to another point in the garden. I'm about to pour a concrete patio and was hoping to run the water line underneath. There are existing drain (and who knows what) pipes running along the same wall so I'm nervous about digging too far...
