Discuss Column radiator - how to tell top from bottom in the UK Plumbing Forum | Plumbing Advice area at PlumbersForums.net

Hi everyone, I'm looking to fit a small Nordic 3 column radiator, but the red plastic bung that indicated the top has been removed along with all the others.

I can see straight through the opening on the top and bottom and the diverter is separate, not already installed.

In short, without fitting it, I can't see a difference between top and bottom. I don't know if the direction of the thread on the bushes could be an indicator? Two bushes are threaded anticlockwise and two clockwise.

Thanks.

Bottom you can’t see through eg Because it has the diverter in

If there’s no difference between front/back or top/bottom then just choose the best face to be front and the best edge to be top.
Before fitting make sure that the valves will screw in where you want them, in terms of thread direction.

Okay so it doesn't make a difference as long as I put the diverter in the right place? Thanks.

Thanks, yes I'd read this elsewhere but unfortunately the diverter is separate with instructions to fit during installation.

Ok doesn’t make a difference then
