Same as any other system filter. Its piped that way so the full flow doesn't go through it. It will all go through eventually but the type of filters in them would mean the flow rate through the system would drop considerably as it gathers shyt so when it is full it is just bypassed.

As I thought but that's a stupid design as would of thought you would want it before your pump to stop all/ most of the crap going into it

Its for commercial systems. They are not as sensitive to dirt. If you put it in line in most commercial systems it would totally block within a week.

Better to have a filter and a seperate dosing pot.

If you still have the novapress Shaun, I will have it. Pm me your bank details if you have.

Yea but surely that would block and not work as well better off putting a mag filter inline instead of the combined paper and mag filter

All it needs are another two connections and its a low loss header too!

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
