We have a Corvec Brittony II multipoint that will only ignite the main burners if the temperature control knob on the front of the multipoint is turned up to its maximum heat setting - making the water too hot to use. Do you know what the problem could be?

Ok 2 yr ago so it is not due a full service for another year then, Did you have the basic service done last year? I would still have a full service carried out by your local GSR as it sounds like it needs one & they could also see if anything else is wrong while they are there. I do suspect what is wrong with it but am not willing to share this due to people trying to have a go themselves at mending their own gas appliances by reading these threads. Not saying you would be that daft though. Hence the advice to have a full service done as what I think it is will be changed on a full service.

Thanks Darren, hopefully it is not a major component/problem then. Are you in the Kent area and if so what would be your charge for a full service.

Good advice from the guys above ^^^ , be aware some parts are getting hard to get hold of for these mulipoints , don’t throw a lot of money at it , it maybe time to change it depending on its age .

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
