Hi,

I inherited the above boiler when we moved house about 3 years ago and it has never given me any trouble until now.

In the last few weeks we have noticed that the heating is not coming on every now and again and when I look at the boiler the reset light is on.

We realised that our 18 month old son has been turning the knob for the temp control on the front of it so I suspected that he had damaged the potentiometer behind it, so I changed the board which has not solved the problem.

The system has 2 pumps, one I believe for CH and the other for HW, but it is very simply wired in that they are all wired together so when the boiler is given power from controller everything comes on.

Does anybody have any idea what may have gone wrong here please?

Many thanks in advance.

Martyn

Martyn,

I hope you checked for the correct safety operation of the gas burning appliance after carrying out “work” on a gas appliance in accordance with the gas safety installation and use regulations 1998? Also have you checked for an overheat situation?
