My Annual Gas Safety check expired 2 months ago and after repeated emails to the Landlord asking when it would be done (every year its about 2 or 3 months late --going on now for 17 years ) the gas fitter from last year attended --he spent the entire 15 minutes in the airing cupboard where the boiler is located and then said ok all good and went. This morning I received the Gas Safety Certificate by email but I have a few concerns about it
1--Gas Id Number as expired
2--Gas tightness I don't think was done as the boiler was not switched off and he never left the airing cupboard where the boiler is (the gas meter supply is at the front of the house outside) .
3---My name was put on the form and signed but i never signed anything.
4--Smoke alarms and CO alarm fitted and tested but they were never tested as the smoke alarms are downstairs and the CO alarm was never tested.

Am I right to be concerned and contact the Landlord and face possible eviction .

If your landlord wants to evict you for having concerns. I would find another landlord. But that’s just me. Speak to him about your concerns. A tightness test unfortunately isn’t a requirement.

Not at all. Is there a letting agent involved??? Your LL should be responsible for arranging a suitably qualified engineer

Where are you? might be in your best interest to get a check done then you can put it to the LL if anything is found to be wrong

As per my last post where are you maybe one of our members could come out and do you a revised certificate and allow you to go to your landlord armed with authentic correct documentation

I had thought of doing this but I have some serious medical conditions including Stage 3 Cancer and don't have much money at present but I think this may be my best option soon---my location is Telford Shropshire but i can not book another test for a few weeks due to funds.

That’s understood buddy when is your rent due because you could formally notify your LL that you intend to get a cert carried out by a qualified engineer and you will knock it off the rent
