If its not rocket science why you asking ?
I'm asking To Make sure i use the correct bore pipe, and the bit thats not rocket science is runnung the pipes to the boiler cupboard, but if no-one wants to help seriously then Forget it, I've stated about 5 times im not touching the gas pipe, thought thats what forums were for!!!

You're GSR should have told you what size pipes he wants leaving. Part P qualified as well?

and so ends todays lesson :)

Shame your ten week course didn't tell you what pipes to run under a combi :)

Took me four weeks at night skool to be a sparks its easy :)

some of us can afford to pay the stupid fees, so i did it the oldschool way "Apprenticeship" Heard of Em?? Day release, Etc, i could have done it in a week but i didnt have the £795 they wanted, and i havnt done the 10 week course YET but i think i will coz this forum is full of knobs all i asked is 1 simple qiuestion and all of a sudden people are assuming allsorts, if people actually took the time to read what i am doing they would know why im asking ,

The point you're missing, is that there's more to it than soldering.

We're not in the habit of giving our trade secrets to "handymen" who will only do a poor job cos they don't understand the psychics.

Could I recommend 'How to Make Friends and Influence People', cracking read. Don't tend to get much advice from people you call door handles :)

I didnt call everyone door handles just the few that didnt take the time to read properly, and I, am well aware that there is more to it than soldering theres volume\capacity throughput to meassure then i can tell if my pipe can handle the floe that the pump kicks out then theres the pipes to run away from the electricity cable, i dont appreciate you assuming that i am a handyman because i dont understand the psyics on a heating system, I'm a Fully qualified Electrician FFS i can use a calculator, making the psyics probably the easiest to understand, its the condercending tone too , im a handy man because i have plenty or skills, ie electrician, joinery, Rooofing, and i actually specialise in getting homes A\V Ready and sendinf the music into each room selectable via either remote or internet, so im far from think and that was out of order, at least this way if theres no a\v work around i can do landscaping , decking , pretty much anything

Thats why i am a handyman not so i can do shoddy work as thats how people get killed, at least theres always work year round when you diversify into general construction

You confess to your plumbing skills yet you don't know what size pipes to install. i.e. your plumbing skills are incomplete. Just because you say that you are a fully qualified electrician. Sounds like you should stick to what you really know and stop pretending to customers that you are a master of all.

By the way, do you do outside taps?

Okay, so if you're a qualified spark, you should be charging a decent rate, in which case, the homeowner has nothing to gain (but plenty to lose) by having someone who is inexperienced doing the work. Get the job done by a professional and charge the homeowner a management fee for arranging the work.

This way, they get a proper job, you get paid and the GSR isn't having his bread and butter stolen out of his mouth.
