The government have brought in a scheme of licensing for itinerant scrap dealers. They need a separate licence for each local authority area they operate in. Guy I use has had to get 4 and they're a lot dearer than the waste licence.

Just for time and weight. You never know how long you gonna be at the tip. Sometimes straight in, sometimes a big queue.

Packaging etc usually gets broken down and put into my recycling bin. If I am doing CH jobs it's usually as part of a larger project so there is a skip there on site anyway.

Im a big fan of hippo bags. They were used on warmfront jobs and its surprising how much you can fit in them. Never had a problem with them collecting either.
