Hi,

I dont like anyone using portable gas fires inside but ive got some servicing in a school for their portable gas fires.

can anyone point me at the reg covering these or know of any issues with using in class'?

I can service but want to gen up on reg and hopefully find reason to remove asap

Ok it seems i cant service as i dont hold cablp1!
despite having tickets for boats caravans and mlv??

so my query changes, i can advise customer the htrs need to be sent to calor for service but cant make them do it, what about their use, quantity, gas storage, ventilation etc?
there were 2 in a class with 13kg in each,(not to mention CO readings) regs for dwellings say 15kg max so removed but what if they have others elsewhere are they really only allowed 1 or 2 in entire school (are com regs different)?
I dont think they are safe where they are being used and so surely its my responsability to inform the customer/school?

called gassafe for assistance and all they would do is state training req cablp1...
"ok i wont work with them but what are the regs so i can advise site on requirements?"
"training requirement is cablp1"
grrrrrr!!!!

HELP!

Tell the customer not to use them would be my advice and that they could be dangerous , sorry cannot advise further as dont know TBH

Famous words in my book

I can't service them sorry as I'm not suitably qualified. But I would suggest you contact calor

I would not get involved myself as you may advise wrong which could be worse , pass it over to someone who deals in them all day long would be my advice good luck

Hi all. Hope you have all been keeping well. A while back I decided I only wanted to fit one brand of boiler and decided on Viessmann due to space for servicing and changing parts if ever needing to. I am finding my decision rather hard due to the different clearances on flue runs and cupboards...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
