Remove from a driveway anyone? Tried fairy liquid and cleanser

Tried scrubbing and stuff not budging it's a new driveway

Is this 'sludge' metal, as in heating system sludge ?
If it is you're gonna struggle.
Once it's in the stone it's in I'm afraid.

You could try acid brick cleaner but try an inconspicuous area first

It's a nightmare to get off. You could try vinegar first, you can get a gallon quite cheaply I'm sure, and then move up to brick cleaner as Last Plumber suggested.

Thanks guys, hope it helps still haven't been paid yet and the jobs worth £6.7k :54:

Is it worth calling a specialist in? Some of the ideas given might actually make things worse?

Already made f all on this job, don't really want to spend a lot more. The original free standing boiler was a nightmare and weighed a ton, was impossible to get it out without some spillage

Sorry thought the £6.7k was profit hence making it worthwhile calling somebody in so you got paid.

Lol I'm hoping to sort it but if I can't then I'll get specialist in to keep cust happy

Try some old fashioned washing powder , pile it up on the stain and just leave it ( assuming its not going to rain ) for a day/night .
Good luck

If it's new and they have some left over, lift them out and replace them
Easier and cheaper, or is the sludge everywhere

Get into buildbase and buy a dozen blocks and a bag of silica sand and swap them. Take you 10 minutes and a tenner

Flip em over then, did a new build last year they did that surface dressing layed the tar and the spark drove through it and straight onto the new block paving despite there being Road closed signs had to pay the builders labourer a days money to lift and flip em and resand it

Aye waste of time trying to get it out. It soaks into the concrete blocks. No matter what you use you'll still see it. Depends how fussy they are.
2 trowels slid down the sides of the blocks and a bit of wiggling and it will lift. When the 1st one is out the rest are easy.
If you are not sure of the colour dig one out and take it with you.

Can you turn them over? If its the same ones I'm thinking about the other side isn't beveled.

You can tell by looking at them they have been flipped. The top side has beveled edges the bottoms side is flat square.
