Hi there, could I get some advice about a toilet flush which is no longer working? The flushing mechanism seems to be in one piece, the handle is solid and the plunger that leads into the toilet flushing mechanism is intact and raises when I use the lever. However on raising the plunger only the smallest amount of water is moved through the syphon. A full flush doesn't catch.

What could be the problem here? And what can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Hard to c from your picture. Is d cistern full of water. If so I'd say the siphon is faulty

Yea new siphon

Either turbo 88 or fluidmaster adjustable ones

Hi there,

Screwfix do a good replacement for complete cistern - Fluidmaster Bottom-Entry Lever & Fill Valve Cistern Pack ½" | Fill & Flush Valves | NoLinkingToThis.

It has handle flush instead of push button.

Don't forget to get a new cistern do-nut kit for clamping it all back together.

Again screwfix are good but if your cistern is Ideal standard you will need a different kit with thicker plate,

Thanks,

Andy

Thanks for these replies everyone. It was the siphon - the diaphragm was shredded, so was pulling up very little water.

Replaced the whole thing with a dudley turbo 88. Works great. Thanks for the advice!

Glad you sorted it and thanks for the update

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
